The Double Portrait by Cemre Yeşil doubles at Foam’s new community space MAQAM with stories coming from other artists in Amsterdam.

The evening before the opening of Cemre Yeşil’s Double Portrait exhibition at MAQAM (in partnership with Foam), the artist invites photographers, artists, visual story tellers who is working on, completed or gave up a project about a parental matter. Any project that deals with the concept of mother / father,  or speaks about the complicated relationship we all have with our parents / our children, is eligible.

The participants are expected to bring their work in a physical format (prints, books, portfolios etc) to be presented in The Double Portrait Open Box event. The Open Box operates like an 'open mic' which would host any story that needs to be heard. Then, the presented works will to be displayed in a box during the Double Portrait exhibition, opening the day after the event (11th Feb).

Join us if you are interested to take part in this intimate photographic event that will be organized within the exhibition space and become a part of this exhibition by collaborating with the artist Cemre Yeşil and dropping your own story into the Double Portrait Open Box.
